LET’S COME TOGETHER AS
“1 In 3 american families struggle to buy diapers for their children”
We’re Miami Diaper Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working locally to provide clean diapers to underprivileged babies across South Florida.
If you have children or have been around babies, you know how many diapers they go through every day (8-10)…A LOT. Imagine not being able to give your child the clean diapers they need to be dry and healthy or having to leave your child in the same dirty diaper all day long.
We know…it’s unimaginable.
SO WHAT IS “DIAPER NEED”?
Diaper Need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry & healthy.
There is NO government assistance for diapers, putting a huge financial strain on low-income & homeless families with children trying to make ends meet.
No Government Help With Diapers
Dirty Diapers Cause Health Issues
Parents Need Diapers To Work
“5.2 MILLION CHILDREN IN THE U.S. AGED 3 OR YOUNGER LIVE IN POOR OR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.”
WE’VE DONATED OVER 1,000,000 DIAPERS TO HELP STRUGGLING FAMILIES IN SOUTH FLORIDA!
We hope you’ll join us in support underprivileged babies who deserve clean diapers!
“SMALL CHANGE AFFECTS BIG CHANGE”
Our #ONEFORBABIES campaign is inspired by the motto “small change, affects big change.” Most of us grow up with the dream of changing the world but as we get older, figuring out what that really means and how to actually “change the world” can be overwhelming. Where do you even start?
The truth is, just by doing something within your reach can create small change and positively affect the lives of those around you…which to us, IS changing the world.
Let’s start with the most innocent and vulnerable humans in our community that need our help…babies. They deserve clean diapers and hope you agree!
“no parent should have to choose between feeding their child and buying diapers.”
A baby’s needs are pretty basic, right? Food, Shelter, Diapers. A parent’s inability to provide their baby with basic necessities such as clean diapers can affect their mental health & well-being. In fact, research from Yale University School of Medicine indicates that women who lack an adequate supply of diapers for their babies are more likely to report symptoms of depression and anxiety, than other low-income mothers.
The diaper need issues doesn’t just affect homeless and low-income families, it affects working parents too. Many low income jobs just don’t pay enough to cover the bills and basic expenses of a baby. And since most daycares require parents to bring diapers for their child – if you can’t afford diapers then it’s difficult to find steady work or go to school.
To you it may just be diapers, but to a child and their parents, it’s a chance to have a better life.
